Okay, here’s my blog post about building a 3-battery vape mod, written in a casual, personal style:
So, I’ve been vaping for a while, and I always felt like my mods ran out of juice too fast. I wanted something that could last all day, even with heavy use. I’d seen some triple-battery mods out there, but they were either too expensive or just not what I was looking for. So, I thought, “Why not build my own?”

First thing I did was grab some paper and a pencil. Started sketching out some rough ideas. I’m no artist, but it helped me visualize what I wanted. I knew I wanted a pretty simple box shape, nothing too fancy. Just something comfortable to hold.
Next, I had to figure out the parts. Obviously, I needed a 510 connector (the part your tank screws into). I found a decent one online. Then came the battery sled. I needed one that could hold three 18650 batteries. Again, online shopping to the rescue.
The tricky part was the wiring. I’m not an electrician, but I’ve tinkered with electronics before. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and read some forum posts to get a basic understanding of how it all works. Found a simple diagram that showed how to wire everything up in series for maximum power.
Getting My Hands Dirty
I ordered a cheap plastic enclosure box online to house everything. Once it arrived, I started drilling! First, the hole for the 510 connector on top. Made sure it was snug, but not too tight. Then, I drilled a hole for a simple firing button on the side. Measured twice, drilled once – that’s my motto!
Next, I mounted the battery sled inside the box. Used some strong adhesive to keep it in place. Then came the wiring. It was a bit fiddly, working in the small space. I used some decent gauge wire, not too thin, not too thick. Soldered all the connections, making sure everything was secure. Double-checked all my connections against the diagram I found. Didn’t want any shorts!
Once everything was wired up, I carefully inserted the batteries. Took a deep breath and pressed the firing button… and it worked! I attached my tank, filled it with juice, and took a puff. Huge clouds! Success!
Final Touches (and Some Lessons Learned)
I ended up using some epoxy putty to fill in any gaps and make the box a bit more sturdy. Gave it a rough sanding to smooth things out. It’s not the prettiest thing in the world, but it’s functional, and that’s what matters.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I learned:

- Take your time. Rushing things will only lead to mistakes.
- Double-check your wiring. Seriously, do it.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are tons of online resources and communities.
- It’s okay if it’s not perfect. It’s your own creation, and that’s what makes it special.
I’ve been using my homemade 3-battery mod for a few weeks now, and it’s been great. Battery life is amazing. I can easily get through a whole day, sometimes even two, without needing to recharge. And the best part? I built it myself! It’s a pretty awesome feeling.
