Lost Mary Luster. Yeah, I heard about it. My grandson, he’s always fiddlin’ with those things, you know? Vapes, they call ’em. Lost Mary, he said, got all sorts of flavors. Flavors! Back in my day, it was just plain tobacco, none of this fancy stuff. But times change, I guess.
So, what are these flavors, huh? He told me some, real strange names they got. Classic, like the old days, maybe? Then there’s Mint, reminds me of those candies we used to get, real strong. And Berry, like pickin’ berries in the woods? He said Tropical too. Tropical? What’s that supposed to taste like? Probably somethin’ sweet and fruity, young folks like that stuff.

Now, he also said somethin’ about Acai Berry Storm Ice. Storm Ice! Sounds like a blizzard in your mouth. Acai berry, never heard of it. Must be one of those newfangled things. He says it’s real cool, refreshing. Don’t know about that, sounds too cold for me. I like my tea hot, you know?
Lost Mary, Lost Mary. Sounds like a girl who got lost in the woods, right? Funny name for a vape. My grandson says it’s got a shiny shell, looks real fancy. And it’s got a mesh coil, makes the flavor stronger, he says. Stronger flavor? I guess that’s good if you like all that fruity stuff. He even says you can recharge it. Imagine that, a cigarette you plug in! We used to just light ’em up and smoke ’em till they were gone.
They say these things last a couple of days, maybe three. Don’t know how long a pack of cigarettes lasts, never really paid attention. But my grandson, he’s always got one in his hand. Says they pulled some off the shelves, somethin’ about labels being wrong. Legal problems, he said. Don’t know what that’s about, but sounds like trouble to me. He said it ain’t a big seller, but he likes ’em.
Honestly, I don’t get it. All these flavors, fancy gadgets. Why can’t people just smoke regular cigarettes? But then again, I’m old. What do I know? Kids these days, they like all these new things. Lost Mary, huh? As long as they stay out of trouble, I guess it’s alright. Just hope they don’t get too lost in all them flavors.
