Alright, so, I’ve been trying to kick the smoking habit for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s been a real pain in the neck. I heard about these things called nicotine pouches, specifically the Iceberg brand, and figured I’d give ’em a shot. I’m no expert, but I thought I’d share my little experiment with y’all, just in case anyone else is in the same boat.
First things first, I got my hands on a tub of these Iceberg pouches. You gotta rip off all the seals and stickers from the container. Then pop open the can and grab one of those little pouches. They’re pretty small, kinda like tiny teabags.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. You take that pouch and stick it between your gum and your upper lip. As soon as I did that, I felt this weird tingling, almost burning sensation. I guess that’s the nicotine doing its thing. The instructions said you could chew on it a bit to release more nicotine, so I did that a couple of times.
- Hold it there for at least 5 minutes, but no more than an hour.
- Spit if needed.
The whole time that pouch was in there, I could feel the nicotine hit. It was definitely a different sensation than smoking. You’re supposed to keep it in there for at least five minutes, but you can leave it for up to an hour. I usually went for about 20-30 minutes, just enough to get my fix.
The instructions also said that it’s okay to swallow your spit, but you definitely shouldn’t swallow the pouch itself. Even though the ingredients are supposedly food-grade, they’re not meant to be eaten. I heard that swallowing them could give you a nasty stomachache or a sore throat, so I was careful not to do that.
Water is a big help!
One thing I noticed is that drinking a lot of water really helped with some of the side effects, like constipation and that urge to cough. Plus, it’s supposed to help flush the nicotine out of your system faster, so I made sure to stay hydrated.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, quitting nicotine altogether is still tough. I set a quit date and made it a goal to quit nicotine. I’m still using these pouches as a way to taper off, but I’m hoping to eventually ditch them too. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m determined to do it. Quitting smoking is not easy, but it’s worth it. After I quit smoking, I tried to use nicotine gum, but I don’t really like the taste. Then, I found iceberg nicotine pouches. Now, I believe I’m on the right track, but I know there’s still a long way to go. I’m just taking it one day at a time, and hopefully, I’ll be nicotine-free before too long.
Anyways, that’s my experience with Iceberg nicotine pouches so far. It’s not a magic bullet, but it’s been helping me cut back on smoking.
