Okay, so, today’s little experiment is about figuring out how to get the most out of those disposable vapes. You know, those little sticks you see people puffing on? I got curious about them, mainly because they seem to be everywhere, and frankly, I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. Plus, it seemed like a fun little project.
First off, I did a bit of reading online. Nothing too fancy, just some basic stuff to get me started. Some articles say these things should last a couple of days, depending on how much you use them. Others mentioned that most folks take about 140 puffs a day. Armed with this not-so-scientific data, I decided to dive in.

I bought a few different brands, just to make sure I wasn’t limiting myself to one experience. I mean, it’s like trying different flavors of ice cream, right? You gotta sample a few to know what’s good. Anyway, I started with a basic model that claimed to have around 300 puffs. I used it like I imagine a regular person would – a few puffs here and there throughout the day. I jotted down the date and time I started and kept a rough count of my puffs.
My Experiment
- Start Date: Monday morning
- First Vape: Claimed 300 puffs
Honestly, it was kind of interesting to see how long it actually lasted. The first one conked out by Tuesday evening. Not bad, but I was expecting a bit more, to be honest. Then, I moved on to another one that boasted about 600 puffs. This one, I figured, would last me at least until the weekend.
- Second Vape: Claimed 600 puffs
- Start: Wednesday morning
I kept the same routine – a few puffs now and then, nothing crazy. This one did last longer, but not as long as I thought. It died out by Friday afternoon. I was a bit surprised, but hey, it’s all part of the experiment, right?
Now, I read somewhere that rechargeable disposable vapes last longer. I guess it makes sense since they have a bigger battery. So, I got my hands on one of those. These are a bit different because you can recharge the battery, but you still can’t refill the e-liquid. Kind of a middle ground, I suppose.
- Third Vape: Rechargeable, claimed 800 puffs
- Start: Friday evening
This one definitely lasted longer. I was able to use it all the way through the weekend and into the next week. It finally gave up the ghost by Wednesday. That’s almost a whole week! I was pretty impressed, not gonna lie. But here’s the thing – it got me thinking about the cost. If you’re buying a new disposable every few days, that can add up, right? I saw some numbers online saying that the cost of the device itself has gone up, but the cost of the e-liquid has gone down. Makes you wonder if it’s actually cheaper in the long run to use these things.
Some folks online were saying that pod systems are way better and cheaper. You know, those ones where you can refill the e-liquid yourself. I haven’t tried those yet, but it might be my next little experiment. After all, if you’re vaping pretty heavily, spending 20 bucks every few days on disposables seems a bit much.
So, that’s where I’m at with this whole disposable vape thing. It’s been a fun little journey, and I’ve definitely learned a few things. They’re convenient, sure, but maybe not the most economical choice if you use them a lot. I guess it all comes down to what you’re looking for in a vape. As for me, I’m gonna keep experimenting and see what else is out there. Maybe I’ll report back with my findings on pod systems. Who knows!
