Okay, so I wanted to talk a bit about my little adventure with Vaporesso coils.
I started by getting myself a Vaporesso kit. You know, the usual – mod, tank, a couple of coils. The kit came with two coils, a 0.6 ohm and a 0.8 ohm one. I popped in the 0.6 ohm coil first, because I’m more of a direct-lung (DL) vaper, and that’s what I’m used to with my other devices.

First thing I did was prime the coil. Basically, you just drip some e-liquid onto the cotton inside the coil to get it saturated. I filled up the tank with some 50/50 e-liquid, because that’s what these coils seem to like. Then, I let it sit for a bit to make sure the coil was good and soaked. After giving it some time, I screwed the coil into the base of the tank and put the whole thing back together.
- Set the wattage: I started low, around 20 watts, which is what’s recommended for the 0.6 ohm coil.
- Took a few puffs: The flavor was pretty good, and I got a decent amount of vapor. Nothing crazy, but it was satisfying.
- Adjusted the wattage: I bumped it up a bit, to around 25 watts, and it got a bit warmer, which I liked.
After vaping on that for a while, I decided to try the 0.8 ohm coil. Same process – primed it, filled the tank, let it sit. This one is supposed to be fired at lower wattages, around 12-16 watts. I started at 12 and worked my way up. The vapor production was a little less, as expected, but the flavor was still there. It’s more of a mouth-to-lung (MTL) experience, which isn’t really my go-to, but it was still enjoyable.
My Thoughts
Honestly, both coils performed well. I definitely preferred the 0.6 ohm coil, just because I like that warmer, denser vapor. But the 0.8 ohm coil is a solid choice if you’re into MTL vaping or if you just want something a bit milder. And make sure to use thinner e-liquids for the best experience.
What I really learned from this is that it’s important to use the right coil for your device and your vaping style. It also helped me understand what coil suits my device. I guess I am more of a DL vaper.
