Experiencing unpleasant taste from your Apire e-cigarette is common but usually fixable. Try these targeted solutions:
Address Priming & Coil Saturation
Prime new coils properly: Before installing a new coil, apply a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton wicking ports. Let it soak in.

Wait before vaping: After filling the tank or replacing the coil, wait at least 5-10 minutes (longer for high VG liquids) to allow full saturation. Taking short “priming puffs” without activating the battery can help draw liquid into the coil.
Troubleshoot Coil & Wick Issues
Replace burnt/damaged coils: A persistent burnt or chemical taste is the clearest sign a coil needs replacing immediately. Coils wear out.
Check e-liquid level: Never let your tank run completely dry. Top up when the liquid level falls to ~1/4 full to avoid dry hits which burn the wick.
Avoid chain vaping: Taking many consecutive puffs doesn’t give the wick enough time to re-saturate, leading to dry hits. Pause briefly between puffs.
Match coil resistance & device settings: Use coils rated for your Apire device’s output range. Too high a wattage for your coil will cause burning. Start low and increase gradually to find the “sweet spot”.
Optimize E-Liquid & Airflow
Use the right e-liquid: Ensure your e-liquid type (PG/VG ratio, nicotine strength) is suitable for your specific Apire device and coil.
Adjust airflow: A tighter airflow draw generally intensifies flavor. Try slightly closing down the airflow control ring for better taste.
Shake e-liquids: Ingredients can separate. Shake bottles vigorously before filling your tank.

Perform Regular Maintenance
Clean the tank: Residue or old flavors can linger. Disassemble (excluding the coil) and rinse components thoroughly with warm water. Dry completely before reassembling. Clean more often with strong-flavored liquids.
Check device connections: Ensure the coil is screwed in securely at both the base and top of the tank. Loose connections can cause performance issues.
