Okay, so, I’ve been trying out these blu cigs lately, right? And the thing is, they’re alright, they do the job. But I gotta say, I saw this other brand, Green Smoke, and they had this leather carrying case and a portable charger that just looked way cooler than the kit blu cigs came with.
So I started messing around with chargers, trying to find something that works. I found these chargers online that say they work for Bristol batteries, which are apparently compatible with blu cigs. They plug into any regular USB port. But get this – the fine print says they WON’T charge the original blu batteries. What’s up with that?

Then I saw another version of these Bristol chargers. These ones claim they can be used with a wall outlet, 120v, or a USB port. Again, it was the same deal, they are for “Blucigs compatible” batteries. So confusing!
- I started thinking, maybe this Bristol line is a good replacement for the blu batteries altogether.
- They say the Bristol ones are high capacity and rechargeable, which sounds good for when you’re out and about.
- Might be worth looking into as a backup or something.
Digging Deeper
Now I’m no expert on this stuff, but I started reading about chargers in general. These people online were talking about prefilled cartomizers and manual batteries, and filling your own cartomizers. It went way over my head, honestly. But some people were saying the blu batteries aren’t that great anyway.
Then I stumbled upon this whole other conversation about charging different kinds of batteries, like the 21700s and 18650s. One person said their favorite charger was the Miboxer C4-12, which can supposedly charge four 21700 batteries at 3 amps each. Sounds pretty powerful! They also mentioned the XTAR D4 if you want something that does 2 amps.
I did learn that blu cigs was one of the first brands to have a charger case that looked like a cigarette pack. You have to charge the case and the rechargeable battery separately, it seems. They also said blu 2.0 and blu bar vapour have an average of approximately 98% lower levels of harmful chemicals compared to cigarette smoke, and it is a sleek and lightweight device.
Anyway, I’m still figuring this whole blu cigs battery charger situation out. It’s definitely more complicated than I thought it would be!
