Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… slushy juice vape thing, whatever they call it. My grandson, that little rascal, he’s always puffing on these things. Says it’s the new cool thing. Back in my day, cool was chewing on a piece of sugarcane, not sucking on some fancy stick, but hey, times change, I guess.
First off, they got a whole bunch of flavors, like, more than you can shake a stick at. My grandson, he likes the blue one. Says it tastes like that blue raspberry candy, the kind that turns your tongue all sorts of colors. I tried it once, just a little puff, mind you. Didn’t taste like nothin’ I ever tasted before. Sweet, kinda fruity, and cold, like you just swallowed a piece of ice. Weird, if you ask me.

- They say there are many flavors.
- Some people like blue raspberry.
- It feels cold when you puff.
Now, they call it a “vape,” sounds like somethin’ you do with a vacuum cleaner. But it ain’t nothin’ like that. It’s this little stick, looks like a fancy pen, and you suck on it, and this… vapor… comes out. Not smoke, mind you, vapor. They say it’s better than cigarettes, less harmful, or somethin’. But I don’t know, seems fishy to me. Puttin’ anything but air in your lungs can’t be good, that’s what I always say.
And these things, they don’t last forever. My grandson, he’s always buyin’ new ones. Calls them “disposables.” Sounds like a fancy word for trash to me. You use it up, throw it away, buy another one. Waste of money, if you ask me. But then again, kids these days, they got money to burn. Don’t know the value of a hard-earned dollar, that’s for sure.
This slushy juice vape thing, it’s got somethin’ called “nicotine salt” in it. Sounds like somethin’ you put on your fries, but it ain’t. My grandson says it gives you a buzz, makes you feel… well, I don’t rightly know what it makes you feel. He just says it’s good. Kids these days, always lookin’ for a buzz. Back in my day, a buzz was what you got from a strong cup of coffee after a long day of workin’ in the fields.
They also talk about somethin’ called “throat hit.” Sounds kinda violent, don’t it? Like someone’s gonna punch you in the throat. But it ain’t like that. It’s just the feeling you get when you inhale the vapor. Some folks like it strong, some like it smooth. My grandson, he likes it strong, says it feels more… “satisfying.” I tell him, satisfaction comes from a good day’s work, not from suckin’ on a fancy stick.
And get this, some folks even add somethin’ called “menthol” to it. Menthol! That’s the stuff they put in cough drops, ain’t it? Why would you wanna vape somethin’ that tastes like medicine? But I guess people like what they like. My grandson says it makes it feel even colder, like you’re breathin’ in a blizzard. Kids these days, always lookin’ for the extreme.
There are all kinds of brands too. Keep It 100, Delta Munchies, all these fancy names. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find at a carnival, not somethin’ you’d put in your mouth. But they got all these reviews, people talkin’ about which one is the best, which one tastes the best, which one gives you the biggest buzz. It’s a whole world out there, this vaping world. A world I don’t rightly understand and don’t care to understand, if I’m bein’ honest.
So, there you have it, my take on this slushy juice vape thing. It’s sweet, it’s cold, it’s got nicotine, and it’s disposable. Kids like it, grown-ups like it, everybody seems to like it. Me? I’ll stick to my sugarcane. At least I know where that comes from. It’s natural, it’s sweet, and it don’t leave no fancy vapor trails in the air.
But hey, to each their own, right? If people wanna suck on these fancy sticks, let ‘em suck. Just don’t do it around me, I ain’t got time for that nonsense. I got more important things to worry about, like gettin’ these weeds out of my garden and makin’ sure the chickens got enough feed.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. No fancy vapes for me tonight, just good ol’ fashioned food.
