So, I’ve been trying to ditch the smokes for a while now, and a buddy of mine suggested I look into vaping. I did a bit of digging around, and it seemed like pod systems were the way to go for a newbie like me. They’re supposed to be simple, compact, and not too complicated.
I started by reading up on what pod systems actually are. Basically, they’re these little all-in-one devices. They’ve got the battery, the coil that heats up the juice, and the pod that holds the e-liquid all packed into one unit. You don’t have to mess around with separate tanks and mods, which sounded great to me.

My First Pod Vape
After comparing a bunch of different brands and models, I decided to start with the SMOKO Vape Pod Kit. It looked super user-friendly, and that’s what I needed. This device, from what I read, was all about making it easy to switch from cigarettes. No buttons to press, just inhale. I liked the sound of that.
- First Impressions: When I got it, it was as simple as advertised. I just put in the pod and took a drag. It produced a decent amount of vapor, and the flavor was pretty good. I picked a tobacco flavor to start, since that’s what I was used to.
- Using It Daily: I carried it around with me, and it was so much easier than carrying a pack of smokes. It’s small enough to fit in my pocket, and I didn’t have to worry about lighters or ashtrays.
Trying Out a Disposable
Then I thought, what about those disposable ones? I saw something called the Vabeen Flex series. They seemed even simpler, and I wouldn’t have to worry about recharging or refilling anything. I grabbed one of those, and it was even easier than the SMOKO. I mean, literally just puff and go. I was kinda surprised at how long it lasted, too.
I also experimented a bit with the wattage. Some folks online were saying that 25-35 watts is a good range for beginners. It seemed to give me a good balance of vapor and flavor without being too harsh.
Stepping It Up
After getting comfortable with those, I felt like I wanted to try something a bit more advanced. I kept hearing about the Vaporesso Target PM80, which you can get for about $27.95. I decided to give it a shot. This one had adjustable wattage, so I could play around with the settings more. It was a bit bulkier than the SMOKO, but still pretty portable. And let me tell you, the vapor production on this thing was a whole different level. I could finally understand what all the fuss is about!
Overall, I’d say it’s been a pretty smooth transition. I started with the simple stuff, got the hang of it, and then moved on to something with a few more bells and whistles. And hey, I haven’t touched a cigarette in weeks.
If you’re thinking about making the switch, I’d definitely recommend starting with a pod system. It makes the whole process a lot less intimidating. You can begin your vaping journey with ease and joy!
