Alright, so today I want to talk about changing out the coils on my Aspire vape. I’ve been using this thing for a while now, and I gotta say, it’s pretty solid. But like anything, the coils wear out, and you gotta replace them to keep getting good flavor and vapor.
First off, I grabbed the new coils. Aspire has a bunch of different kinds, so I made sure to pick up the right ones for my tank. They’ve got these Tigon coils and Nautilus coils, and probably a bunch of others I don’t even know about. I made sure the package said they were compatible with my device, that is very important.
Next, I took apart my vape tank. Unscrewed the base, pulled out the old coil – it was pretty gunked up, to be honest. This is where things can get a bit messy, so I always have some paper towels handy. After I yanked out the old one, I gave the inside of the tank a quick wipe down. Some folks online said to use hot water, but I just wiped it out, and it seemed fine to me.
- Unscrew the base of the tank.
- Pull out the old coil.
- Wipe down the inside of the tank.
Putting in the new coil was easy peasy. Just popped it into the base, making sure it was seated properly. Then, I screwed the base back onto the tank. Some of the guides I saw online talked about priming the coil – you know, letting the e-liquid soak into the cotton before you start vaping. I usually do that by just filling up the tank and letting it sit for a few minutes. Some folks put the juice directly into the coil too. There are different ways, it is all fine.
Once everything was back together, I fired it up. Took a few puffs, and bam – fresh, clean flavor. It’s like night and day when you put in a new coil. I don’t know why I wait so long sometimes, haha. I should do this more often.
I’ve heard that you’re supposed to change these things every week or two, depending on how much you vape. I probably push it a bit longer than I should, but hey, coils aren’t exactly free. But from now on, I will try to change them more frequently.

- Have paper towels handy because it can get messy.
- Prime the new coil by letting it soak up some e-liquid before using it.
- Don’t wait too long to change your coils – you’ll notice a big difference in flavor.
