Okay, so, I wanted to mess around with making my own chocolate vape juice. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit weird, but I was curious, alright?
First, I did some digging online. Found out that most vape juices are a mix of PG and VG, like a 50/50 split usually. Apparently, this works for most vapes, but if your coil’s resistance is below 0.4 ohm, you gotta go with more VG. Who knew, right? I just grabbed a cheap bottle of each to start.

Then, the whole flavor thing. I read some stuff about chocolate flavors being kinda harsh on your lungs. There was even some fancy-sounding study about it, “America Journal of Physiology” or something. But hey, I was already committed. I found a couple of basic chocolate flavor concentrates online. Nothing fancy, just plain old chocolate. One was called “Double Chocolate Clear” and the other was just “Chocolate”.
Mixing was… well, let’s just say it was a learning experience. I started with the 50/50 PG/VG base, added a few drops of the “Double Chocolate Clear” flavor. Shook it up real good, filled up my old vape tank, and took a puff. Ugh, it was awful! Seriously, it tasted like burnt plastic and sadness. I don’t know what went wrong. Maybe I messed up the ratio, or maybe that flavor was just bad.
I wasn’t giving up that easily though. Next, I tried the regular “Chocolate” flavor. Used the same base, added a bit more flavor this time, just to see. This one was a little better, but still not great. It was kinda like a watered-down, weak chocolate taste. Not satisfying at all.
- First Attempt
- 50/50 PG/VG base
- “Double Chocolate Clear” flavor concentrate (few drops)
- Result: Tasted terrible, like burnt plastic.
- Second Attempt
- 50/50 PG/VG base
- “Chocolate” flavor concentrate (more drops)
- Result: Weak, watery chocolate taste. Not good.
Honestly, I think the problem is the flavor concentrates I used. They were probably just cheap, low-quality stuff. I did come across someone online who mentioned a flavor called “Fudge Sludge” from a brand called Bulldog Vapor. They said it was their go-to, so maybe that’s worth checking out next time.
Lessons Learned
Making your own vape juice is definitely harder than it looks. You gotta get the right PG/VG ratio, find good quality flavors, and then experiment like crazy to get the mix right. It’s a lot of trial and error, and it can get messy.
I’m not giving up though! Maybe I’ll try some different brands, or maybe even try mixing in some other flavors with the chocolate. We’ll see. It’s all part of the fun, I guess. Just gotta be prepared for some nasty-tasting experiments along the way!
