Okay, so, I’ve been on this whole cigar thing lately, right? But, like, actual cigars are a bit much for me sometimes. Too much of a commitment, you know? Plus, the smell lingers, and my wife ain’t a huge fan. So I thought, “Why not try one of those cigar-flavored vapes?” Seemed like a good compromise.
First things first, I had to find a place that actually sold these things. I hit up Google, typed in “vape shops near me,” and a bunch of places popped up. I chose one place called “Smoke Shop Cigar & Vape”, their name had both “Cigar” and “Vape”, so I went there.
I went there and, man, it was overwhelming. Rows and rows of colorful liquids and devices. I felt so out of place. I finally mustered up the courage to ask one of the guys working there for help. I told him I was looking for something that tasted like a cigar, but, you know, not an actual cigar. He chuckled a bit, then showed me a whole section of cigar-flavored e-juices. Who knew there were so many?
- There was this one that claimed to taste like a Cuban.
- Another one that was supposed to be like a mild, smooth Dominican.
- And get this, they even had one that was infused with some kind of whiskey flavor!
I ended up grabbing a couple of different ones, a “Cuban” and some brand sampler with three different types. Also picked up a simple vape pen thingy ’cause I didn’t have one of those. The guy at the shop helped me set it all up, showed me how to fill it, and all that jazz.
Got home, tried the “Cuban” one first. Not gonna lie, it was pretty darn close to the real deal. That rich, earthy taste, a little bit of spice. It was wild. I took a few more puffs, kinda getting into it. Then I tried the sampler. There was a lighter one, a medium-bodied one, and a really strong one. The strong one was a bit much for me, but the other two were pretty good.
I’ve been using them for a couple of weeks now, mostly in the evenings after work. It’s become my little ritual, you know? Sit on the porch, have a few puffs, unwind. It’s way more convenient than smoking an actual cigar, and my wife doesn’t complain about the smell. Plus, I feel like I have more control over how much nicotine I’m getting, which is a good thing.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this whole cigar vape experiment. If you’re a cigar person, but you want something a little less intense, or maybe you just want to try something new, I’d say give it a shot. There are tons of flavors out there, so you’re bound to find something you like. Just be prepared to be a little overwhelmed at first when you walk into one of those vape shops! It is really a new experience for me, and I will use it for a long time.
