So, I was browsing around the other day, looking for something new to try out in the world of heated tobacco, and I stumbled upon this thing called the “Ploom Model 1”. Heard a bit about it, you know, it’s supposed to be pretty decent, and I was like, “Why not give it a shot?”
I started digging around to see where I could get my hands on one of these. I mean, it’s not like they sell them at the corner store. So, I spent a good chunk of time going through different sites and forums, just to see what the deal was with these things.
After a while, I found this online store that was selling them. It looked legit, you know, and the price was okay. I figured, “What the heck, let’s do it.” Placed the order, and waited.

The wait was a bit longer than I expected, to be honest. I was tracking the package like a hawk, getting all excited. It was supposed to arrive before Christmas, which was great, but it was cutting it pretty close. There were only, like, nine left in stock, so I was feeling pretty lucky to have snagged one.

Trying it out
Finally, it arrived! Ripped open the package, and there it was. It looked pretty slick, I gotta say. Not too bulky, felt good in my hand. So, I got some of those heated tobacco sticks, popped one in, and turned it on.
Took a puff, and… hmm, not bad. It was definitely smoother than I thought it would be. I’ve tried a few other heated tobacco devices before, but this one had a different feel to it. It wasn’t harsh, and the flavor was pretty decent.
Comparing
Now, I’ve heard people compare it to that IQOS thing, and I can see why. They’re both in that “heated tobacco” category, but the Ploom Model 1 just seemed a bit more refined. Plus, the battery life seemed pretty good, which is always a plus. It was capable of smoking 20 sticks and charging time was only about 90 minites.
I’ve been using it for a few days now, and I’m actually liking it. It’s not a bad alternative to regular cigarettes, and it definitely feels a bit less intense. But, you know, it’s still tobacco, so it’s not like it’s completely harmless or anything. Still, it’s an interesting experience.
Overall, it was a pretty interesting experiment. Would I recommend it? Yeah, I think so. If you’re into that whole heated tobacco thing, the Ploom Model 1 is definitely worth checking out.
