Okay, so, I was packing for this trip, right? And I’m standing there, looking at my vape, wondering if I should even bother bringing it. I mean, I’ve heard all sorts of things about flying with vapes, and I didn’t want any trouble at the airport.
So, I did what any normal person would do – I started Googling. And let me tell you, the internet is a wild place when it comes to this stuff. Some people say TSA will confiscate your vape, others say it’s fine, and some talk about exploding batteries. It was a mess! After reading a bunch of stuff, I realized that the main thing is that vapes are only allowed in your carry-on, not in checked luggage.

I figured, okay, I’ll just put it in my carry-on bag. Then I remembered those liquid rules. You know, the ones where you can only bring tiny bottles of liquids, and they all have to fit in a clear plastic bag? I wasn’t sure if that applied to vape juice. I mean, it’s not like I can easily squeeze that into a tiny bottle. More Googling told me that while the liquid rules are still there, it mainly referred to the tiny bottles, but not the vape juice. But it might be a problem if the security scanner can’t see through the liquid in your vape.
My Airport Experience
Fast forward to the airport. I put my vape and a small bottle of juice in my carry-on, making sure it was easy to take out if needed. When I got to security, I was a bit nervous. But, honestly, it was no big deal.
- I took my vape out of my bag and put it in a separate bin, just like you do with your laptop.
- The TSA agent didn’t even bat an eye.
- My bag went through the scanner, and that was it.
- No questions, no problems.
So, I get to my gate, feeling pretty good. I even saw a few other people with vapes in the waiting area. It’s like a secret club or something. Anyway, I learned that as long as you follow the rules, flying with a vape isn’t a hassle. Just keep it in your carry-on, and make sure the heating element can’t accidentally turn on. That’s some advice I saw online, and it makes sense, right? You don’t want your bag to start smoking in the overhead bin. It was kind of funny, though, the whole situation, I mean. I think some people just like to make a big deal out of nothing. And the whole thing with the exploding batteries, I mean, come on. I’ve never had that happen to me, and I’ve been vaping for a while now.
Anyway, that’s my story. Hope it helps someone out there who’s as confused as I was. Safe travels, everyone!
