Today, I wanna talk about how long those disposable things last, like those garbage disposals and disposable vapes. I’ve been using these things for a while, and I figured I’d share what I’ve found out.
Garbage Disposals
First up, let’s talk about garbage disposals. I got a new one installed about 10 years ago, and it’s been working great. From what I’ve heard, these things usually last around 8 to 15 years. It really depends on how much you use them and how well you take care of them.

- Installation: About a decade ago, I got a new garbage disposal put in. It was a pretty standard model, nothing fancy.
- Usage: I use it pretty regularly, like a few times a week, mostly for food scraps and stuff.
- Maintenance: To keep it running smooth, I try to clean it out every now and then. I usually just run some water and throw in some citrus peels or baking soda to keep it fresh.
- Problems: Had a couple of minor issues, like it getting jammed, but nothing major. Usually, I could fix it myself by just hitting the reset button or fishing out whatever was stuck.
So, based on my experience, if you use your garbage disposal regularly and do some basic maintenance, it should last you a good 10 years or more. Mine’s still going strong, so I’m hoping to get a few more years out of it.
Disposable Vapes
Now, let’s switch gears to disposable vapes. I’ve tried a bunch of these, and their lifespan can vary a lot.
- First Try: I started with those small ones that are supposed to last for like 500-600 puffs. They usually lasted me a couple of days, maybe three if I wasn’t using it much.
- 3000 Puff Vapes: Then I moved on to the 3000 puff ones. These are bigger, and the battery usually lasts longer. I found that they could last me anywhere from 5 to 15 days, depending on how much I was vaping. If I was hitting it all day, it would be closer to 5 days. But if I was just using it occasionally, it could last a couple of weeks.
- 1g THC Vapes: I also tried those 1g THC vapes. These are a bit different, but from what I gathered, they give you about 100 to 200 puffs. For me, that would last a few days to a week, maybe a bit longer if I wasn’t using it heavily.
- Observations: The thing with these disposables is that they’re made of plastic and meant to be thrown away, so they’re not the most durable things. Battery life and how much e-liquid is left are the main things that determine how long they last.
So, for disposable vapes, it really depends on the size and how much you use them. The small ones are good for a few days, while the bigger ones can last a couple of weeks if you’re not a heavy vaper.
That’s my experience with how long garbage disposals and disposable vapes last. Hope this was helpful! If you got any questions or wanna share your own experience, feel free to drop a comment.
