Key Considerations
While advantageous, certain factors should be considered when choosing or using an electronic lighter:
- Battery Dependency: Operation relies entirely on battery charge. Regular recharging is necessary, and battery life can vary between models and usage.
- Application Suitability: Arc lighters with narrow electrode gaps may not be ideal for lighting cigars or pipes. Coil lighters are generally suited for cigarettes but can be difficult to use with other items due to the flat heating surface.
- Maintenance: Coil lighters may require occasional cleaning to remove ash and residue buildup on the heating element to maintain efficiency. Arc lighter electrodes may also need gentle cleaning.
