Risks of E-cigarette Use During Pregnancy
Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) and other products containing nicotine are not safe to use during pregnancy.
Nicotine Hazards:

Nicotine is a significant health danger for a pregnant woman and her developing fetus. Its detrimental effects include:
- Damage to the brain as it develops.
- Impairment of lung development.
Flavoring Concerns:
Some of the flavorings used in e-cigarettes may also be harmful to the developing fetus, posing additional risks beyond nicotine.
Postnatal Exposure:
There is no safe amount of vaping around children. Exposure to e-cigarette aerosol, similar to secondhand cigarette smoke, can be harmful to infants and children.
