Okay, so, today I wanna talk about my journey with refillable pod systems. It all started when I got tired of throwing away those disposable vapes. Felt like I was just tossing money into the trash, you know?
First, I did some digging around to figure out what this whole “pod system” thing was about. Turns out, it’s basically a vape device that uses these little pods instead of those big, bulky tanks. The pods can be pre-filled or, the ones I was interested in, refillable.

So, I went ahead and bought a refillable pod system. It came with the device itself, which has a battery, and a couple of empty pods. These pods are like small, rounded plastic containers where you put your e-liquid. And there’s a coil inside that heats up the liquid.
Filling the Pod
The first time I tried to fill one of these pods, it was a bit messy, I won’t lie. But, I quickly got the hang of it. Basically, there’s usually a little rubber stopper or a small opening on the pod. You just open that up and drip your e-liquid in. The hardest part is not overfilling it.
Using the Device
Once the pod was filled, I popped it into the device. The pod connects to the battery through a metal plate, which I guess is what allows the electricity to flow. Then, you just inhale from the mouthpiece at the top of the pod. The battery powers the coil, the coil heats the liquid, and boom, you get vapor.
My Experience
- Cost: It’s definitely cheaper than using disposable vapes. I mean, I’m just buying bottles of e-liquid now, which last way longer.
- Environment: Less waste, which feels good. Not throwing away a whole device every few days.
- Flavor: There are a crazy amount of e-liquid flavors out there. I’ve been experimenting, and it’s been fun trying new ones.
- Maintenance: Yeah, there’s a bit of maintenance. I need to fill the pods and occasionally replace the coils, but it’s not a big deal.
Honestly, switching to a refillable pod system was a great decision. It’s cheaper, better for the environment, and I get way more control over my vaping experience. If you’re thinking about making the switch, I’d say go for it! It might seem a little complicated at first, but you’ll get the hang of it, trust me, from one former newbie to another. It’s worth it in the end.
