Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “cake flavored vapes” all over the place, and I finally caved. I had to try one. I mean, who wouldn’t want to inhale a cake, right? No baking, no mess, just straight-up cake flavor. I was skeptical, though, let me tell you.
First, I hit up my usual vape shop. It’s this little hole-in-the-wall place, but they always have the craziest stuff. I asked the guy behind the counter, “Yo, you got any of those cake vapes?” He just grinned and pointed me to a whole wall of ’em. Birthday cake, chocolate cake, red velvet… you name it, they had it.

I ended up grabbing a “Vanilla Birthday Cake” one. Seemed like a safe bet. The packaging was all bright and colorful, looked like a legit cake box, almost. Sniffed it before I even opened it – smelled pretty sweet, kinda like frosting.
The Experiment Begins
Got it home, ripped open the box, and there it was. A little pen-shaped thing, all sleek and white. I filled it up with the cake-flavored juice (that still sounds weird to say), and took a puff.
- First Impression: Woah. Super sweet. Like, REALLY sweet. Definitely got that vanilla flavor, but it was almost overpowering.
- Second Puff: Okay, I’m getting a little more of the “cake” now. It’s like… a hint of buttery-ness? Maybe? It’s hard to describe.
- After a Few More: My whole room started to smell like a bakery. My roommate even came in and asked if I was baking something. I was starting to feel a little sick, to be honest. The sweetness was just too much.
I vaped it on and off for a couple of hours, trying to give it a fair shot. I even switched out the coil, thinking maybe that would help. Nope. Still super sweet. And the aftertaste? Kind of… chemically? Like I’d licked a birthday candle. Not a fan.
I ended up giving it away to a friend who’s got a way bigger sweet tooth than I do. He loved it, naturally. Said it tasted just like a cupcake. Go figure.
It might suit someone, but I realized that I may not be able to enjoy it.
