Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with my Vaporesso Luxe vape for a while now, and let me tell you, figuring out the coils situation has been a bit of a journey. I thought I’d share what I’ve learned so far, ’cause it might help someone else out there.
First off, I started with the Luxe XR POD. It’s got these two options, one for MTL (that’s mouth-to-lung, like how you’d smoke a cigarette) and one for DTL (direct-to-lung, which is, well, straight to the lungs). I messed around with both, using the GTX 0.4Ω MESH coil for DTL and the GTX 0.8Ω MESH coil for MTL. They were okay, I guess. It’s just your standard vape experience, you know?

Then, I found out that these pods are also cool with other GTX Coils! So, I got curious and started experimenting. I grabbed a pack of the GTX-2 Replacement Coils. They were labeled for the Luxe PM40 Pod System and the Target Series, but they fit in my Luxe XR too. I don’t know how I knew it would fit, but I had a hunch. Cost me around 24 bucks for a pack of five, which isn’t too bad.
Now, I tried a bunch of different coils from that GTX line, and let me tell you, some were better than others. Some leaked a bit, some gave me a dry hit every now and then, it was a real mixed bag. I wouldn’t say any of them blew my mind, but they did the job. The thing is that the coils burnt out fast. I’d say that was the biggest issue that I had with them.
I also tried to figure out how long these pods are supposed to last. Honestly, it’s hard to say. It depends on how much you vape, what kind of juice you’re using, all that stuff. I was going through them pretty quickly, maybe a week or so each? It really wasn’t very long at all, which got annoying.

Main Points from My Messing Around:
- Luxe XR POD has MTL and DTL options.
- GTX 0.4Ω and 0.8Ω coils are for DTL and MTL, respectively.
- GTX-2 coils fit even though they’re labeled for other devices.
- Coil lifespan varies, like, a lot.
So, yeah, that’s my experience with the Vaporesso Luxe coils so far. It’s been a bit of trial and error, but I’m getting there. Hopefully, this helps someone out there who’s just starting with their Luxe or is thinking about trying different coils. If you’ve had a different experience or have any tips, let me know!
