So, I’ve been thinking about cutting down on the bad stuff in my smokes, and I heard about these reusable cigarette filters. Figured I’d give them a shot, you know, see what the hype is all about. I did some digging around online, trying to find the best ones.
I ended up ordering a few different kinds from a couple of different places. One was this online store, had a bunch of different brands, and they shipped pretty fast, which was cool. Another was some big online shop. They have all sorts of stuff, not just smokes, but I saw a few filters there that looked alright, so I added them to my cart.

The Experiment Begins
First thing I did was try them out. The first pack I opened, each filter was good for, like, 5 regular cigs or 10 light ones. They said it could take out most of the tar without messing with the taste. I was skeptical, but I popped one on and lit up. It felt a little weird at first, having this plastic thing on the end of my cigarette, but I got used to it.
After a few smokes, I took the filter off to see what it caught. And let me tell you, it was kinda gross, but also satisfying. This brown, sticky gunk was all trapped inside. I was like, “Damn, that’s what I’ve been inhaling?” It definitely made me think twice about what I was putting into my body.
Trying Different Types
Then I moved on to the other filters I bought. Some were bigger, some were smaller. Some were a pain to clean, others were a breeze. I even tried making my own filter out of some cardboard, just to see if I could. It worked, but it wasn’t as good as the ones you buy. It got soggy pretty quick and didn’t really filter much.
I tried a few different kinds of cardboards, different thicknesses, to see which one worked best. It was a bit of trial and error, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
Results and Thoughts
After using these filters for a while, I gotta say, I did notice a difference. My cough wasn’t as bad, and I didn’t feel as heavy in my chest. Plus, knowing that I was at least trying to reduce some of the harmful stuff was a good feeling.
- Pros:
- Definitely cuts down on tar.
- Easy to use, once you get the hang of it.
- Pretty cheap, especially if you buy in bulk.
- Makes you think more about what you’re smoking.
- Cons:
- Can be a little annoying to clean.
- Feels a bit weird at first.
- Some brands are better than others.
Overall, I’d say these reusable cigarette filters are worth checking out. They’re not a miracle cure, but they’re a step in the right direction. I’ve now fully switched to using the reusable filters, and I feel better about myself. And I will keep updating my experience.
