Okay, so I’ve been messing around with these carbon pod things for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. At first, I was just curious, you know? Everyone’s talking about vaping and these pod systems, so I figured, why not give it a shot? I started by doing a little digging online. There are just tons of online vape shops. It is very difficult to choose a reliable store. I need to check the price, comments, and so on. This took me a long time.
I grabbed a starter kit from one of those online vape stores. The Vaporesso Renova Zero, it’s not expensive, only cost me around 16 bucks, which seemed like a pretty sweet deal. Came with the device, a couple of pods, and a USB charger. Getting it all set up was a breeze. I charged the thing, popped in a pod, and I was good to go.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. These carbon pods, they’re supposed to be filled with this e-liquid stuff that has nicotine in it. I started with some pods that were labeled 5% nicotine. Turns out, that’s a lot. Like, a whole lot. I read somewhere that 5% is about 50 mg of nicotine, which is way more than a pack of cigarettes. I definitely felt it. It is too strong for me. It made me a little dizzy and not in a good way. And I found out it is about double the amount of a pack of cigarettes. So I switched to lower nicotine levels.
- 0 mg/0%
- 3 mg/0.3%
- 5 mg/0.5%
I did some experimenting with different nicotine strengths. Tried some 3mg, some 0mg. Honestly, 0mg is good for me, It is light. It’s a whole different experience when you dial it back. Still get the hand-to-mouth thing and the vapor, but without that intense nicotine hit.
I also tried refilling the pods myself, which is a bit of a hassle but way cheaper in the long run. You just gotta be careful not to make a mess. And you need to buy that e-liquid stuff separately. There are so many flavors that I don’t know how to choose. The most important thing is to choose the right nicotine concentration. You can get it at most vape shops, both online and in person. I even saw that Walmart is pulling all these vaping products from their shelves, including the devices and accessories. Guess they’re cracking down on it. Makes sense, given all the stuff in the news lately. Even though it is such a big store, I don’t buy from it, I still believe the online vape store.
After using it for a while, I realized that this thing is probably not good for me. I decided to quit it. So, yeah, that’s my experience with carbon pods. Started strong, toned it down, and now I’m kind of over it. It was a fun little experiment, but I’m moving on.
