Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this Aspire K3 battery for my vape, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. I snagged a couple of these batteries a while back, thinking it would be a good idea to have a spare.
I started using one, and at first, everything was going great. It was lasting me a solid day on a single charge, which is pretty good. I mean, I’m not hitting my vape constantly, but still, a full day is decent, you know?
- Started using one K3 battery.
- Observed it lasts a full day on a single charge.
But then, one of them started acting up. It wouldn’t hold a charge for as long as it used to. I was like, “What’s going on here?” So, the first thing I did was check if it was fully charged, and it seemed okay. I even tried swapping it out, you know, just in case. Still no luck.
- One battery started losing charge quickly.
- Ensured it was fully charged.
- Tried using the spare battery.
I remembered seeing something online about cleaning the connections. Seemed like a long shot, but I grabbed a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol and gave it a go. I carefully cleaned the little metal bits where the battery connects to the charger and the vape itself.
Honestly, it did not make that much of a difference. I was getting a little frustrated at this point.
- Cleaned the battery and charger connections.
- Not a very effective solution in my case.
After that, I decided that maybe the battery was just a dud. I mean, it happens, right? So I switched back to the other battery, and it was working fine.
- Decided the battery might be faulty.
- Switched back to the initially good battery.
I’m still using that one, and it’s been holding up. I guess sometimes you just get a bad egg, even with these vape batteries.
- Continue using the working battery.
My take away
So, the whole experience taught me a few things. First, it’s always a good idea to have a backup. Second, sometimes a little cleaning can help, but not always. And third, well, sometimes these things just die on you, and there’s not much you can do about it. Anyway, that’s my little story about the Aspire K3 battery.
