Alright, let’s talk about this Lost Mary Black Currant Mint thing, whatever it is. My grandson, you know, the one with the fancy phone, he told me about it. Said folks are all buzzing about it online. So, I figured, why not, let’s see what the fuss is all about.

First off, they call it a “vape,” this Lost Mary. Sounds like somethin’ outta a spaceship movie to me. But from what I gather, it’s like…smokin’, but not really smokin’. It’s got this “flavor,” black currant mint they say. Now, black currants, I know. Used to pick ‘em wild back in the day. Made good jam, that’s for sure. Mint, too. Grows like weeds in the garden. But puttin’ ‘em together? And in somethin’ you puff on? That’s newfangled stuff, I tell ya.
So, this Lost Mary Black Currant Mint… people say it’s got a strong minty taste. Like, really strong, “icy” they call it. And the black currant part? Some say it’s tart, some say it’s sweet, but not too sweet. Kinda like a… what’s that word… a cocktail, but without the alcohol, I guess. My grandson says it’s kinda like those grape ices they sell at the store, only different, not quite grape he says. Whatever that means, young people and their fancy words. Makes an old lady like me dizzy thinking about it.
They also say it’s “refreshing.” Well, I guess if you’re puffin’ on somethin’ minty, it’d feel cool, right? Like chewin’ on a mint leaf on a hot day. Only this thing, it seems, is more than just mint. It’s got that black currant taste mixed in. Now, whether that’s good or bad, I can’t say. Haven’t tried it myself, and don’t plan on it, my lungs ain’t what they used to be.
- Some folks are sayin’ it’s like a blackberry ice, but with mint. Now, blackberries, those are good eatin’ too. But with ice? And mint? Again, sounds kinda strange.
- And this here Lost Mary MO5000, that’s the whole name, they tell me. It’s part of somethin’ called the “Frozen Edition.” Frozen, huh? Must be why they say it’s so icy.
- Then there’s talk of it being an “e-liquid device”. Sounds fancy, probably expensive. Back in my day, we just chewed on mint leaves if we wanted a fresh taste. No fancy devices needed.
Apparently, this black currant mint is also some kind of “herb,” a “perennial herb” they call it. Grows every year, I reckon. And it’s got a “unique scent and flavor.” Well, I’d hope so, wouldn’t want somethin’ that tastes like dirt. They say it smells sweet and fruity, like black currants. And the leaves are green, with a bit of purple. Fancy that.
Some even compare it to somethin’ called “Forest Mint”, sayin’ it’s sweet and minty, with lots of menthol. Menthol, that’s the stuff that makes your nose tingle, right? Like those chest rubs you use when you got a cold. Seems like they put all sorts of things in this here Lost Mary.
Anyways, that’s what I’ve gathered about this Lost Mary Black Currant Mint. Seems like a lot of fuss over a puffin’ thing. But hey, young folks these days, they like their gadgets and their flavors. Me? I’ll stick to my black currant jam and mint tea. At least I know what I’m gettin’ with those.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. All this talk about fancy flavors and icy this and that makes my head spin. Give me a good old-fashioned garden any day.
