Got myself a bunch of Innokin Zenith coils the other day. You know, gotta stock up on those essentials. I went with a few different types, just to see what the fuss was all about.
First off, I grabbed the 1.6 ohm ones. These are supposed to be good for beginners, so I thought, “Why not?” Then, I picked up the 1.2 ohm coils. Heard these are also decent for new vapers, but I mostly use them with my favorite thick e-liquids.

- 1.6 ohm Coils: Supposed to be the best for new vapers.
- 1.2 ohm Coils: Also great for newbies, perfect for thicker e-liquids.
Then, I decided to try out the 0.8 ohm coils. These are a bit more advanced, and I was curious about how they’d perform. And for good measure, I also got some 0.6 ohm coils. I’ve heard these are good for a direct-to-lung vape, which I’m not really into, but hey, gotta experiment, right?
- 0.8 ohm Coils: Good introduction to sub-ohm vaping.
- 0.6 ohm Coils: Supposedly good for a direct-to-lung experience.
Getting Started
So, I started with the 1.6 ohm coil. Popped it into my Zenith tank, filled it up with some juice, and let it sit for a bit. You know, gotta let that coil soak up the juice properly. After a few minutes, I took a puff. It was alright, nothing too crazy. A bit restricted, which is what they say it’s supposed to be like. I vaped on that for a couple of days. Used up about 25ml of e-liquid, which is pretty normal for me.
Trying the 1.2 ohm Coil
Next up, the 1.2 ohm coil. This one felt a bit smoother. I used it with a thicker e-liquid, and it handled it like a champ. No dry hits, no gurgling, just smooth vaping. I went through about 30ml of juice with this one. It’s quickly becoming my favorite of the bunch. I really dig how it handles the thicker stuff.
Experimenting with 0.8 ohm
Then came the 0.8 ohm coil. This one was definitely different. More vapor, a bit warmer, and a more open draw. I could see why people like this for a more intense vape. I’m not a cloud chaser, but it was fun to try. I only used about 20ml of e-liquid with this one because it’s not really my style, but it was a good experience.
The 0.6 ohm Coil
Lastly, the 0.6 ohm coil. This was the most intense of them all. Lots of vapor, and it felt like a completely different experience. It’s meant for direct-to-lung vaping, which isn’t my usual style, but I gave it a shot. It was a bit much for me, to be honest. I only vaped about 15ml of e-liquid before I decided it wasn’t for me.
Overall, I’d say the 1.2 ohm and 1.6 ohm coils are my go-tos. They just fit my style better. But it was fun trying out the others. It’s always good to experiment and see what works for you. I didn’t even need to use any special mod, just my usual one, and it worked fine. That’s my little adventure with Innokin Zenith coils. Hope you found it somewhat helpful!
