Hey, you ever heard of that thing, that Lost Mary gummy flavor? That’s what everyone’s talkin’ about these days. Sounds kinda fancy, don’t it? I seen it on one of them newfangled electric boxes, what do they call them things, oh right, that “Internet.”
Well, I ain’t never had one myself, but my neighbor’s grandson, he’s always got one of them in his hand. He’s a good kid, just likes them things. Says it tastes like candy, this Lost Mary thing. I don’t even know how it works. He showed me that day, and I swear I saw some kinda light from inside, it’s crazy what they come up with. And the smell, oh lord, it’s strong. He was puffin’ on one the other day, and it smelled like a whole bag of them gummy bears. Remember them gummy bears? My grandkids used to love them. Red ones, green ones, yellow ones. You could always find a pack of them in my purse for the little ones.
Now, this Lost Mary thing, they got all kinds of them flavors, not just that gummy flavor. He told me they got one that tastes like tangerines, and I tell ya, the smell is somethin’ else. My grandson, he likes that tangerine gummy flavor a lot. He says it’s sweet, but not too sweet. Like a good piece of candy. He said it is one of them Lost Mary Adjust My Flavor. I said, “What does that mean, adjust my flavor?” I don’t know, and he just smiled, and took another puff from that thing. He let me try it, I said, “No, no, it’s okay.” I don’t want to try it. But he insisted. Well, I tell you what, it did taste just like a tangerine. It was pretty good, I guess.
They got so many of these things now. More flavors than you can shake a stick at. They say that Lost Mary thing has over 120 flavors! Can you believe that? 120! Back in my day, we were lucky to have a few different kinds of candy at the general store. Now they got every flavor under the sun. It’s that Lost Mary BM600, they call it. Don’t ask me what that means, I just heard it from my grandson. They got all kinds of flavors, like that Mad Blue or something. Don’t know what that is, sounds kinda wild, don’t it? I like that gummy one.
I don’t know much about these things, but they’re popular, I’ll give ’em that. You see folks with ’em everywhere. You can get ’em at the stores, at them vape shops. They got all kinds of them, not just that Lost Mary. They got those stores everywhere now. It used to be a gas station. Now it’s a vape shop. I don’t understand it.
These Lost Mary flavors, they got every kind of taste, they say. That gummy bear flavor, they say it tastes just like the real thing. Sweet and sugary. Makes your mouth water just thinkin’ about it. My grandson, he says it’s good for all day, that flavor. He can puff on it all day long and it don’t bother him none. He says it ain’t harsh like some of them other ones. I don’t know what that means, but he seems to like it. And I see many young people use it, too. Maybe they like it, too. I think I will try it again next time. Maybe I will like it. But I am not sure. It’s all new for me.

Still, that Lost Mary gummy flavor, it does sound kinda good, don’t it? Maybe I’ll ask my grandson for another try, just to see what all the fuss is about. He always shares with me. He is a good boy.
I tell ya, this world is changin’ faster than a greased piglet at the county fair. One minute you’re eatin’ a plain old piece of candy, the next minute they got these fancy gadgets that taste like everythin’ under the sun. I don’t know what they’ll come up with next. Maybe they’ll make one that tastes like my apple pie. Now that’s somethin’ I might actually enjoy. They might make it, you never know. But I guess for now, that Lost Mary gummy flavor will have to do. It is popular. It is a big deal. Everybody is talking about it. Even me, ha!
