Okay, so I’ve been messing around with the Uwell Crown X lately, and I figured I’d share my experience with the coils since that’s a big part of this thing.
First off, I got this kit because I heard some good things, especially about the flavor and how long the coils are supposed to last. I mean, 30 days? That’s a pretty bold claim, and I had to see it for myself.
The kit comes with two coils: a 0.3Ω and a 0.6Ω one. I started with the 0.3Ω coil. Installing it was a breeze. Just popped out the old one and pushed in the new one. Filled up the pod, let it sit for a few minutes to soak, and I was good to go. The 0.3Ω coil is meant for direct-to-lung vaping. And let me tell you, the flavor was immediately noticeable. Really, really good. I was using a fruity e-juice, and it tasted like I was actually biting into fruit. Clouds were decent too. I played around with the wattage, and it seemed happiest between 60 and 70 watts. I get what people say the larger mouthpiece means it’s really designed for RDL rather than MTL, even though they claim it can do both.
I used that 0.3Ω coil for about two and a half weeks. I did push it a bit. Some days I vaped pretty heavily. The flavor did start to drop off a bit towards the end, but honestly, it held up pretty well. It’s much better than other coils I’ve used in the past.
Then I switched to the 0.6Ω coil. This one is supposed to be more for restricted direct-to-lung vaping. It’s not as airy as the 0.3Ω one, but the flavor was still there. I found myself using it a bit lower, around 40-50 watts. For the e-juice, I used this coil more often.
My Verdict
- Coil Life: They definitely last longer than average. I didn’t quite get a full 30 days, but I wasn’t exactly babying them either.
- Flavor: Both coils deliver excellent flavor. I slightly preferred the 0.3Ω coil, but that’s just personal preference.
- Ease of Use: Changing coils is super easy.
So, yeah, the Crown X coils? They’re pretty good. I’m impressed. If you’re looking for a pod system with good flavor and coils that don’t die after a week, I think this one is worth checking out.
I’m planning on trying some of the other coils, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Will update when I do!
