Man, you ever have that thing happen where you hit your vape and it makes this weird popping sound? Like, I don’t know, it sounds like something’s not quite right, you know? It happened to me the other day, and I was like, “What the heck is going on with my vape?” I figured I should figure out the problem and fix it.
So, the first thing I did was check out the coil. I thought maybe it was flooded or something, ’cause I heard that can make it pop. When I took a look, sure enough, it seemed like there was too much e-juice on it. I guess I’d been a little overzealous filling it up.

I grabbed a paper towel and carefully cleaned up the coil and the little chamber where it sits. I made sure to get all that extra juice out of there. Then, I put everything back together, took a hit, and guess what? Still popping! I was a bit frustrated at this point, not gonna lie.

Next, I remembered someone telling me that the wattage or voltage thingy could be the culprit. So, I messed around with the settings on my vape, trying different levels. I went up a bit, I went down a bit, trying to find that sweet spot. But, no luck. It was still making that annoying popping sound.
At this point, I was starting to get a little worried. I mean, it was still working, but that sound was just…off. I thought maybe I should just buy a new vape. I did a little more digging around. I checked out the mouthpiece, thinking maybe some condensation was built up in there. I heard that narrow mouthpieces can cause that, and the juice might pop when you inhale. I cleaned it out, but still, the popping persisted.
Then I remembered another thing. I heard that vapes can auto-fire if they’re not turned off when you’re not using them. So I started being extra careful to turn mine off every time I put it down. That’s a good habit, anyway, I figured.
- I tried cleaning the coil.
- I tried adjusting the wattage.
- I tried cleaning the mouthpiece.
- I made sure to turn it off when not using it.
Honestly, none of that made a huge difference, the popping was still there. But after a while, I realized something. The popping wasn’t that bad, really. It was more like a gentle crackling sound. And you know what? I kind of got used to it. It wasn’t spitting hot juice at me or anything, so I figured it wasn’t a big deal. Maybe it’s just the way this vape is, I don’t know. I’m just gonna keep using it and see what happens. Maybe it’ll go away on its own. If it gets worse, maybe I’ll take it to a vape shop and see if they can figure it out. But for now, I’m not too worried about it.
