Okay, so, I’ve got this Geek Bar, right? Cool little thing, but lately, it’s been acting up. The darn thing just keeps firing even after I’ve taken a puff. It’s like it’s got a mind of its own or something. I’m puffing away, and then I stop, but the vapor just keeps on coming. It’s pretty annoying, not to mention a waste of juice and battery.
So, I did what anyone would do and started messing around with it. I took the pod out, looked inside, and noticed a bit of gunk built up in there. Figured that might be the culprit, so I cleaned it out real good. I used a cotton swab and some tissue to get rid of any sticky residue I could find around where the pod connects.

- Checked for Debris: First thing I did was pop out the pod and look inside the device.
- Cleaned the Contacts: I used a cotton swab to gently clean the area where the pod connects.
After putting it back together, I tried again. No luck. Still hitting on its own. Then it hit me – maybe it’s the temperature? I’ve been using it outside, and it’s been pretty hot lately. I brought it inside, let it cool down for a bit, and tried again. Still nothing.
Experimenting with Airflow
I remembered reading somewhere about using compressed air to fix this kind of issue. I don’t have an air compressor, but I figured, why not try blowing into it? So, I took a deep breath and blew into the mouthpiece. Not too hard, just a few short bursts. I was worried I might roast the coil, so I kept it to about one second each time.
- Short Bursts: I blew into the mouthpiece in short, one-second bursts to avoid damaging the coil.
And guess what? It worked! After a couple of those short bursts, the thing stopped auto-firing. I took a few puffs, and it worked perfectly. Just like new! I guess that puff sensor was just a little stuck or something, and the airflow helped to loosen it up.
So, there you have it. If your Geek Bar is acting up and keeps firing, try giving it a good clean and then a few gentle blows into the mouthpiece. It might just do the trick. I’m no expert, but hey, it worked for me. I’m just glad I didn’t have to throw it away and buy a new one. Back to vaping happily now!
