Alright, so the other day, I noticed my vape was starting to taste a bit off, you know, kind of burnt. Figured it was time to swap out the coil in my Aspire Nautilus tank. I’ve done this a bunch of times, but hey, maybe this will help someone out there who’s new to this.
First, I made sure to grab a new pack of coils. There are a few different types for the Nautilus, like the 1.8ohm, 1.6ohm, 0.7ohm, and even some mesh ones. I usually roll with the 1.8ohm coils, ’cause they give me a nice balance of flavor and vapor, and they work well with most batteries. I think those Clapton ones are supposed to be good for flavor too, but I haven’t tried them yet.

Unscrewed the bottom part of the tank – that’s where the coil lives. Gotta be careful not to spill any leftover e-liquid. Then, I just pulled out the old coil. It was pretty gunked up, no wonder it tasted nasty.
Took a fresh coil out of the pack. Before screwing it in, I dropped a little bit of e-liquid onto the cotton parts of the coil. This helps prime it, so you don’t get a dry hit when you first use it. Nobody wants that.
- Screwed the new coil into the base.
- Filled the tank back up with some fresh juice.
- Put the whole thing back together.
After letting it sit for a few minutes to make sure the coil was fully saturated, I took a puff. Boom, back to good flavor! It’s always satisfying when you can fix something yourself, even if it’s just a little thing like changing a vape coil.
Oh, I almost forgot. When I buy coils, I usually try to find a good deal online, like “Free Shipping” or something, there are many options about the “Nautilus 2s Replacement Coils”. ‘Cause, you know, gotta save those pennies where you can.
Anyway, that’s my little coil-changing adventure. Hope it was helpful to someone. Happy vaping!
