Okay, so I saw this “frozen fruit monster banana ice” thing all over the internet and figured, why not? It looked super easy and I had a bunch of overripe bananas sitting around anyway.
Getting Started
First, I peeled those bananas. You know, the ones that are way too brown and mushy to eat normally? Perfect for this. I think I had like, four of them.

Next, I chopped them up into chunks. Nothing fancy, just rough pieces so they’d fit in my food processor. I guess you could use a blender too, but I like the food processor for this.
The Processing Part
I threw the banana chunks into the food processor. Then I just let it rip! I pulsed it a few times to get things going, then just held down the button until it looked smooth.
- At first, it looked kinda crumbly and weird.
- Then it got a little sticky and clumpy.
- But I just kept going, and after a minute or two, it magically transformed into this creamy, ice cream-like texture. Seriously, it was like magic!
The Result
I scooped some out and…wow. It really does taste like banana ice cream! It’s sweet, creamy, and you’d never guess it was just plain old frozen bananas.
I added some chocolate chips to mine, because, why not? You could totally add other stuff too – peanut butter, nuts, other frozen fruit…get creative!
It did get a little soft and started to change consistency after about 20 minutes after processing, so it’s best eaten right away. I placed the remaining mixture in the freezer, and it turned pretty solid, So I think it’s best consumed right away!
Honestly, this is a game-changer. A super easy, healthy dessert that uses up those sad-looking bananas. I’m definitely making this again!
