Hey everyone, it’s your boy back at it again with another one of those “let’s figure this out together” kind of posts. So, I had this trip coming up, right? And if you know me, you know I like to be… prepared. Part of that preparation involved figuring out what I could and couldn’t stuff into my checked luggage. Specifically, I was wondering about carts. Yeah, those carts.
First off, I hit up the internet, because where else do you go when you’ve got questions in the 21st century? I typed in something like, “can you put carts in checked luggage?” into the search bar and waited for the magic to happen. Loads of stuff popped up, but you know how it is – you gotta sift through a bunch of junk to find the gold.

I started clicking around, reading through some of the top results. Some folks were talking about CBD oil and vapes, which was kinda related, I guess. I learned that apparently, you can fly with CBD oil if it’s from hemp and doesn’t have a lot of THC. Who knew? And those disposable vapes? They’re usually good to go on a plane too.
Digging Deeper
But I needed more specifics about carts in checked luggage. So, I kept digging. I found out there are rules – lots of them – about what you can pack in your checked bags. Like, did you know you’re only supposed to bring a maximum of 15 electronic devices? That’s a lot of devices!
I stumbled upon a post from a few days ago talking about the stress of packing and how important it is to know what’s not allowed in checked bags. Delays and fines? No thanks, I’ll pass on those.
CO2 Cartridges and the 3-1-1 Rule
Then there was this thing about CO2 cartridges. Turns out, you can only carry them if they’re EMPTY. Makes sense, I guess. You wouldn’t want those things going off in the cargo hold. And don’t even get me started on the 3-1-1 rule. Liquids, gels, aerosols, pastes – it’s a whole thing. I won’t bore you with the details, but just know there are limits on that stuff too.
The TSA List
Eventually, I ended up on the Transportation Security Administration’s website. They’ve got this huge list of banned items. That’s where I got the real scoop on what’s a no-go for checked luggage. It’s actually a pretty handy resource if you’re ever unsure about something.
Vape Batteries
Oh, and here’s a big one – vape batteries. Because of fire concerns in the cargo hold, all electronic devices and vape batteries have to be carried onto the plane. You can’t pack them in checked baggage. Any vape device that has an internal battery, like a pen vape, pod vape or disposable vape MUST be stored in your hand luggage. This part is super important, guys. Don’t mess this one up.
So, after all that research and reading, I finally got my answer. It was a bit of a journey, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes. Now I know what’s up with carts and checked luggage, and I’m all set for my trip. Hopefully, this little adventure of mine helps some of you out there too. Remember, it’s always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to packing for a flight. Stay informed, stay prepared, and happy travels!
