Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of hype around the Geek Bar Pulse, and honestly, I was curious. I mean, “Pulse” mode? What’s that all about? So, I grabbed one to see what all the fuss was about.
Getting Started
First thing I did was unbox it. Pretty standard stuff – the device, a little user manual (which, let’s be real, who reads those?), and a USB-C charging cable. It felt pretty solid in my hand, not too heavy, not too light. It has a nice smooth finish.

Figuring Out the Modes
Now, this thing has two modes, and that’s the main thing that makes it different. You’ve got your regular mode, and then this “Pulse” mode. I started with the regular mode. The way I switched was by the switch at the bottom of the device.
- Regular Mode: I took a few puffs, and it was… fine. Good flavor, decent vapor, nothing to complain about. I use this mode most of the time.
- Pulse Mode: Then,I wanted to try it. I flicked the little switch on the bottom. The screen changed, showing a little rocket icon. Okay, interesting… I took a drag, and whoa! It’s definitely more intense. Way more vapor, and the flavor seemed stronger too. It felt like it was hitting harder, but it wasn’t harsh or anything.
Playing Around with the Airflow
Besides the modes, there’s also an airflow slider on the bottom. It’s pretty simple – slide it one way for a tighter draw, the other way for a looser, airier draw. I played around with it in both modes, and it definitely makes a difference. I like a tighter draw, so I mostly kept it on that setting.
Checking the Battery and E-liquid
The screen is another cool feature. It shows you your battery level and how much e-liquid is left. It’s not a super detailed readout, but it’s enough to give you a general idea. No more guessing when your vape is about to die on you!
Charging It Up
Eventually, I needed to charge it. Plugged it in with the USB-C cable, and the screen showed a little charging animation. Pretty standard stuff. It seemed to charge up pretty quickly, but I wasn’t really timing it.
My Overall Thoughts
After using it for a while, I get the hype. The Pulse mode is a nice option to have when you want a more intense vape, and the airflow control lets you customize it to your liking. The screen is a helpful addition, and the whole thing just feels *’s not just a gimmick; it actually changes the vaping experience. So, yeah, I’d say the Geek Bar Pulse does what it sets out to do, and it does it pretty well.
