Okay, so the other day, I was just chillin’ and puffin’ on my Geek Bar as usual. But then, something weird started happening. Even after I stopped taking a hit, the damn thing kept firing. It was like it had a mind of its own! I was like, “What the heck is going on here?”
I tried takin’ the pod out and puttin’ it back in, but that didn’t do jack. The thing just kept going and going. It was starting to freak me out a little, not gonna lie. I didn’t want my vape to blow up in my face or something. So, I started doing some digging around to see if anyone else had this problem.

Turns out, it’s a thing called “auto-firing,” and it’s not that uncommon. I found a few posts online where people were talking about it. Some folks said it could be because of a messed up sensor, or maybe some gunk built up inside. Others mentioned that it could be a sign of a bigger problem, like a busted chip or something. I mean I don’t know any of this stuff.
Here’s what I tried, step-by-step:
-
Tried Blowing into it
First, I saw someone sayin’ to blow into the mouthpiece with an air compressor. They said to do short bursts, like one second, so you don’t fry the coil. I didn’t have an air compressor, so I just used my own breath. I blew into it a few times, not too hard, but it didn’t seem to do anything. I was pretty sure this method won’t work, but hey, it’s worth trying.
-
Checked for Gunk
Next, I thought maybe there was some juice or something clogging up the inside. I took the pod out and looked around, but I couldn’t see anything obvious. I wiped it down with a tissue just in case, but it still kept firing. I mean, what did I expect? It’s not like I’m an expert in cleaning vapes or something.
-
Looked for Damage
I also checked if there were any signs of damage, like cracks or anything. I even opened it up a little, but I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. I’m not exactly a tech whiz, so I didn’t want to mess with it too much. I figured I’d leave the heavy lifting to the pros. But seriously, who knows how to fix these things anyway?
-
Tried New Batteries
Someone online mentioned that switching out the batteries might help. I didn’t have any spare batteries, but I figured it was worth a shot. I borrowed some from my TV remote, but that didn’t do anything either. I guess that makes sense, it’s not like TV remote batteries are designed for vapes, right?
-
Considered the Coil
Then I remembered reading that sometimes the coil can get all messed up with carbon stuff. I didn’t really know what that meant, but I figured it was worth checking. I tried to see if the coil looked burnt or anything, but I couldn’t tell. I mean, they all look the same to me. How am I supposed to know what a burnt coil looks like?

Thought About Puffs
Another thing I saw was that taking slower puffs might help. I guess chain vaping can make the coil overheat and cause problems. I tried taking it easy, taking breaks between puffs, but that didn’t stop the auto-firing. I mean, it’s hard to change your vaping habits just like that, you know?
Honestly, I tried all these things, but nothing worked. The Geek Bar was still firing on its own. I was starting to get frustrated, and I was worried that it might be dangerous to keep using it. I mean, I’ve heard stories about vapes exploding, and I definitely didn’t want that to happen to me. So, I decided to just stop using it for a while. I figured it’s better to be safe than sorry. Maybe I’ll take it to a vape shop later and see if they can fix it. Or maybe I’ll just buy a new one. It’s a bummer, but what can you do?
It’s kinda annoying when your vape acts up like this. You just wanna enjoy your puff, and then boom, it starts doing its own thing. I hope this doesn’t happen to any of you guys, but if it does, maybe some of the things I tried might help. Or maybe not. Either way, be careful and don’t do anything stupid. Vaping is supposed to be chill, not stressful, you know?
This experience kinda bummed me out, but what can you do? At least I didn’t burn my house down or anything. But seriously, if anyone has any other tips or tricks for dealing with an auto-firing Geek Bar, let me know. I’m all ears. And please, don’t tell me to just throw it away and buy a new one. I’m not made of money, you know?
