Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out if the Geek Bar Pulse is rechargeable:
My Little Experiment with the Geek Bar Pulse
So, I got my hands on one of these Geek Bar Pulse things. I’d heard some buzz, and honestly, the design looked pretty slick. But the big question I had was: is this thing rechargeable, or am I gonna be tossing it after a few days?

I started by, well, using it. I puffed on it for a while, enjoying the flavor, and keeping an eye on the little display. It shows the battery level, which is super handy. I wanted to see that battery level go down, to kind of force the issue of needing a charge.
After a couple of days of pretty regular use, the battery indicator was definitely getting lower. Now came the real test. I hunted around the device for a port. Usually, with rechargeables, there’s a pretty obvious USB-C port somewhere.
I looked at it real close,it’s at bottom!
Found it! There it was, a little USB-C port, tucked away neatly on the bottom. I grabbed a USB-C cable I had lying around (who doesn’t have a bunch of these these days?), and plugged it into my laptop. I plugged the other end into the Geek Bar Pulse.
Then, I waited. I kept an eye on the display, and sure enough, the battery indicator started to climb. It was definitely charging! I let it charge for a good while, just to make sure it got back to full power.
- Used the Geek Bar Pulse until the battery was low.
- Looked for charging port.
- Located the USB-C port on the device.
- Plugged it into my laptop with a USB-C cable.
- Confirmed it was charging by watching the display.
It wasn’t super fast, but hey, it worked! I unplugged it after it seemed fully charged, and yep, the battery indicator was back to showing full. I’ve been using it since then, and it’s been holding the charge just fine.
So, based on my little experiment, yes, the Geek Bar Pulse is definitely rechargeable. Just find that USB-C port, plug it in, and you’re good to go. No need to throw it away when the battery gets low!
