Okay, so, I got curious about this whole “calories in vape juice” thing. I mean, we all know vaping isn’t exactly a health food, but I wondered if it could actually impact weight. So, I did a little digging and experimenting.
The Beginning
First off, I found some basic info online. Seems like your average vape juice has about 4-5 calories per milliliter. That’s not much at all when you think about it. In the grand scheme of a daily diet, it’s practically nothing.

My Experiment
But, I wanted to see for myself. I grabbed a few different vape juices I had lying around. They were all different flavors, different brands, the whole nine yards. I also found the nutritional info for each one.
- First Juice: A fruity one, smelled like a whole orchard. I checked, and it was about 5 calories per ml.
- Second Juice: This was a dessert flavor, kind of like a vanilla custard. Also around 4.5 calories per ml, give or take.
- Third Juice: A tobacco flavor, pretty standard. This one was closer to 4 calories per ml.
Tracking My Intake
For a week, I tracked how much I vaped each day. I’m not a super heavy vaper, so it wasn’t a ton. I also kept an eye on my regular food intake and exercise. I just did my normal thing, no changes there.
The Results
Honestly, nothing changed, and I didn’t really expect it to. I didn’t gain weight, didn’t lose weight, it was just like any other week. Given that I didn’t vape all that much, and the calorie count is so low, it makes sense that it wouldn’t make a difference.
My Conclusion
So, based on my little experiment, and what I read, I’m pretty sure that vaping doesn’t really add any significant calories to your diet. At least not enough to make a difference. You’d have to vape a whole lot for it to even show up on the radar. I’d say, if you’re watching your weight, vaping is probably the least of your worries, calorie-wise. But obviously, that doesn’t mean it’s good for you in other ways.
