Okay, so I got curious about this whole “how many puffs in a vape” thing. I saw some people talking about it online, and I was like, “Huh, I wonder how accurate those numbers are.” So, I decided to do a little experiment myself. I grabbed a Lava Plus disposable vape – you know, those ones that say they have, like, a gazillion puffs.
First things first, I had to get my hands on one of these things. I went to the local vape shop, the one with all the crazy flavors. The guy behind the counter, with his, like, rainbow-colored hair and piercings, helped me pick one out. I went with the “Mango Madness” flavor ’cause, why not? Sounds delicious, right?

Next, I needed a way to track my puffs. I’m not about to sit there with a pen and paper, ticking off every single puff. That’s just crazy. So, I grabbed my phone and found this simple counter app. It’s just a big button you tap, and it keeps track of the number. Perfect.
Now for the fun part – the actual vaping. I started puffing away, tapping that counter app every time I took a drag. I tried to keep my puffs consistent, you know, not those little baby puffs, but not those huge, lung-busting ones either. Just regular, normal puffs.
My Experiment:
- Purchase a new Lava Plus disposable vape: This was easy, just had to go to the shop.
- Track the puffs: Downloaded the counter app.
- Start vaping: Started taking normal puffs and recording them.
- Vape until the battery dies: This is where I kept going until the vape was done.
- Compare: Compare my results with the packaging.
I vaped throughout the day, whenever I felt like it. I even vaped while watching some dumb videos on the internet – multi-tasking, right? I kept this up for a couple of days, just puffing and tapping, puffing and tapping. And I read an article saying that it is recommended to limit vaping to no more than once or twice a day, and I’m vaping for more than 2 days!
Eventually, the vape started tasting kind of burnt, and the vapor got all weak. It was done. Time to check the results. I looked at my counter app, and the number staring back at me was…drumroll…around 1,800! It didn’t reach the 2,600 as the package said. It mentioned 1100mAh battery, but I don’t care about that thing at all. I guess those puff counts on the packaging are just, like, a suggestion, not an exact science. Maybe some people take way smaller puffs than I do, I don’t know.
So, there you have it. My little experiment is done. It wasn’t exactly scientific, but it was interesting. I guess the takeaway is that those puff counts are just estimates. Your mileage may vary, as they say.
One last thing: I also found out that lava is just magma that’s above the ground, and it is made of silicon, oxygen and other things. And someone said 10-15 puffs are equal to a cigarette, which is crazy. Anyway, I just wanted to share my little adventure. Hope you found it at least a little bit entertaining. Peace out!
