Alright, so the other day, I was chilling at my place, vaping like usual, when my buddy came over and was like, “Dude, your room smells like a vape shop.” I didn’t even notice it until he pointed it out, but yeah, my room had that lingering vape smell. So, I was like, “Alright, time to fix this.”
First thing I did was open up all the windows. I figured, fresh air is the best way to start. I left those windows open for a good few hours. It helped a bit, but the smell was still kinda there.

Next, I grabbed a small fan I had lying around and set it up to help circulate the air. I pointed it towards the open window to try and push the stale air out. This seemed to make a noticeable difference, the air felt fresher, for sure.
Then, I remembered reading something about vinegar being good for cleaning and getting rid of smells. So, I mixed up some white vinegar with water—half and half—in a spray bottle. I went around the room and wiped down all the hard surfaces like my desk, shelves, and even the walls. It was a bit of work, but it seemed to help neutralize the vape smell even more.
I also thought about my carpets and pillows because, you know, those things can hold onto smells like crazy. It’s a bit of a hassle, but I might need to give them a good cleaning. Maybe I’ll tackle that this weekend.
- Opened windows: Let in the fresh air.
- Used a fan: Helped move the air around.
- Vinegar mix: Cleaned the heck out of all the surfaces.
After doing all that, my room smells way better. It’s not completely gone, but it’s way less noticeable than before. I guess vaping inside all the time, the smell just builds up without you realizing it. From now on, I’ll probably try to vape near an open window or something to avoid this happening again.
If you’re dealing with the same issue, I hope my little experiment helps you out. It’s not rocket science, just some basic stuff that seemed to do the trick for me.
