Alright, so I’ve been wanting to try making my own vape juice for a while now. It seems like a fun little project, and plus, you can save some cash and know exactly what’s going into your vape. So, I finally decided to give it a shot, and man, it was quite the experience. Here’s how it went down.
Gathering My Stuff
First things first, I had to get all the ingredients and gear together. I already had some empty bottles lying around, which was good. But I needed to buy the important stuff:

- PG (Propylene Glycol) – This stuff helps carry the flavor and gives you that throat hit.
- VG (Vegetable Glycerin) – This is what makes those big, thick clouds.
- Nicotine – Okay, so I like a little nicotine in my juice. Just a bit, you know? I got some liquid nicotine, but be careful with this stuff, it’s strong.
- Flavor Concentrates – This is where the fun starts! I picked up a few different flavors that sounded good, like strawberry, mango, and a bit of menthol.
I also grabbed some syringes for measuring, some gloves (safety first!), and a notebook to keep track of my recipes.
Mixing It Up
Now for the actual mixing part. This is where things got a little tricky. I found some recipes online, but I wanted to experiment a little, too. I started with a simple mix: mostly VG for big clouds, a little PG for the throat hit, a dash of nicotine, and a good amount of strawberry flavor.
I carefully measured out each ingredient with the syringes, making sure to wear my gloves when handling the nicotine. Then, I poured it all into one of my empty bottles. I shook the bottle really well to make sure everything was mixed together nicely.
Steeping Time
After mixing, I learned that you’re supposed to let the juice “steep” for a while. This basically means letting it sit in a cool, dark place so the flavors can blend together better. Some people say you only need a few days, others say a few weeks. I decided to let mine steep for about a week, just to be safe.
The Taste Test
Finally, the moment of truth! After a week of waiting, I filled up my vape tank with my homemade juice. I took a deep breath and… it wasn’t half bad! The strawberry flavor was there, the clouds were decent, and the throat hit was just right.
I’ve made a few more batches since then, experimenting with different flavor combinations. Some have been great, some not so much. But that’s part of the fun, right? It’s like being a mad scientist, but with vape juice.
So, that’s my story of how I started making my own vape juice. It’s definitely a learning process, but it’s been a pretty cool experience so far. Plus, I’m saving some money, which is always a good thing. If you’re thinking about trying it, just do your research, be careful with the nicotine, and have fun with it!
