Alright, so I recently got my hands on this Geek Bar Pulse thing, and let me tell you, figuring out that little screen was a bit of a head-scratcher at first. I mean, I just wanted to vape, but there I was, staring at this tiny display like it was some sort of spaceship control panel.
So, I started poking around. First thing I did was to actually turn the damn thing on. You’d think that’d be obvious, right? Well, it wasn’t for me at the moment. But yeah, got that sorted out. Then the screen lit up, and I saw all these symbols and stuff.

The Rocket Ship
I noticed this little rocket ship icon. At first, I thought it was just some cool design thing. But after messing around with the settings, I figured out that when this rocket is displayed, the device is in what they call “Pulse Mode”. And if the rocket isn’t there, then it’s just in the regular, standard mode. Simple enough, I guess.
The Droplet and the Segments
Then there’s this droplet icon at the bottom part of the screen. That one’s actually pretty useful. It’s like a fuel gauge but for the e-liquid. It’s got these five segments, and as you use the device, they start to disappear. When they’re all gone, it means you’re running low or completely out of juice. I thought that was a neat way to show it.
- Droplet with five segments: Full tank, ready to go.
- Droplet with three segments: About halfway there.
- Empty droplet: Time to get a new one, buddy.
Puff Counts and Modes
Now, this is where it gets a bit tricky. I learned that the number of puffs you get from this thing depends on the mode you’re using. In the regular mode, it seemed to last a lot longer, something about 15,000 puffs they said, but I didn’t really count. When I switched to Pulse Mode, the battery drained faster, and I got fewer puffs, obviously. I guess that makes sense since it’s probably using more power or something in that mode.
The Other Stuff
The screen also shows other things, like the battery level. That’s pretty standard, nothing special there. At the beginning, I did encounter some other problems, like blinking lights and the device is inactive, but I figured it out, not a big deal.
Oh, and one more thing I found out. Taking slow and steady puffs gives you a much better flavor. Don’t try to be a hero and take massive hits. It just messes with the taste and can be harsh on your throat.
So yeah, that’s pretty much my experience with figuring out the Geek Bar Pulse screen. It’s not rocket science, but it does take a bit of getting used to. Hopefully, my little adventure here helps some of you out there avoid the same confusion I went through. Happy vaping!
