So, I’ve been seeing a lot of folks online asking about refilling disposable vapes. I got curious myself, so I decided to try it out and see what happens. Here’s how it went down.
First off, I grabbed one of those disposable vapes I had lying around. It was pretty much empty, so it was the perfect candidate for this little experiment. I also got some e-liquid, the same flavor as the original one, just to keep things consistent.

Getting Started
Now, these disposable things, they’re not really made to be opened up. They are supposed to be used once and then tossed, you know? But where’s the fun in that? I carefully examined the vape, looking for any weak spots or openings. I noticed the mouthpiece seemed to be a separate piece.
The Process
Using a small, flathead screwdriver, I gently started prying at the seam where the mouthpiece meets the body. It took some wiggling and patience, but eventually, the mouthpiece popped off. I was surprised, to be honest, I did not expect this to work. Inside, I could see the cotton soaked in the old e-liquid and a small tube leading to the heating coil.
Next, I took my bottle of e-liquid and slowly dripped it onto the cotton. I was careful not to overfill it, just enough to saturate the cotton. It was a bit messy, and I had to use a paper towel to clean up some spills. This is way harder than it looks, I would like to say.
Putting It Back Together
Once the cotton was soaked, I carefully put the mouthpiece back on. It clicked into place, and I hoped I hadn’t broken anything in the process. I pressed the button to activate it and… nothing. It wouldn’t fire up. I took it apart again, checked the connections, and made sure the cotton was making contact with the coil. After a few more tries, it finally worked!
- I’ve tried to fill the cotton with e-liquid.
- I’ve pressed the button to see if it works.
- I’ve opened it up again to make sure everything is in the right place.
The Result
It was hitting, but the flavor was a bit off. It didn’t taste as good as the original. And it started leaking after a few puffs, which was a bummer. I guess these things really are meant to be disposable. It was a fun experiment, though. I learned that while you technically can refill them, it’s not really worth the hassle. It’s messy, the results are not great, and honestly, it’s probably not the safest thing to do. Just get a new one, it’s so much easier, trust me.
