Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this little issue I had with my Mr. Fog Switch. It was working like a charm for a whole week, no problems at all. But then, out of nowhere, I plugged it in to charge, and it started making this weird hissing sound, kind of like an electric crackling noise. It really freaked me out, to be honest.
So, the first thing I did was unplug it. Safety first, right? Then, I started poking around online to see if anyone else had experienced the same thing. I found a bunch of videos and posts about it, but nothing that really solved my problem.
Trying to Figure It Out
- Small Hits: One suggestion I found was to take really small hits, like barely inhaling at all, to try and “train” the switch. Apparently, this works for some folks, especially with the watermelon strawberry apple menthol ice flavor. It seemed to reduce the hissing a bit, but it didn’t stop completely.
- Coil Stuff: I learned that these disposable vapes work with something called a “coil activation mechanism.” I’m not really sure what that means, but I figured maybe the hissing had something to do with the coil.
- Juice: My device said it had 15mL of juice, which should last a while. So, I didn’t think it was a juice problem.
Still Hissing
After trying all that, it was still hissing. I even tried blowing through the mouthpiece, which apparently works for some people. Nothing. I was starting to get really frustrated.
Battery Issues?
Then, I read something about the battery. Apparently, sometimes these vapes blink three times when the battery is low or dead. Mine wasn’t blinking, but I thought maybe the battery was still the issue. I mean, it is possible, right? A bad battery can cause all sorts of weirdness.
Giving Up
Honestly, after trying everything I could find online, I just gave up. I figured it wasn’t worth the hassle anymore. It’s just a disposable vape, after all. Maybe it’s just a dud. I decided to just toss it and get a new one. It’s a bummer, but what can you do? Sometimes these things just happen. It’s like when you heat oil in a pan, it just happens with heat.
And, by the way, I heard something that if the wick is saturated, you will hear nothing after you stop vaping. If it happens for a second or two, it’s usually nothing to worry about.
But anyway, if any of you have had a similar experience or have any other ideas, let me know in the comments. I’m curious to see if there’s a solution I missed.
