So, picture this, I’m just chilling in my bathroom, right? Going about my business, and my Geek Bar is just sitting there on the sink. Next thing I know, I reach for something, and bam! My vape takes a dive right into the toilet. Luckily, it was clean, no “business” in there, thank goodness. But still, I freaked out. I grabbed it out of the water faster than I’ve ever moved, I swear.
First thing I did was grab some toilet paper and dried off the outside as best as I could. I was shaking, not gonna lie. I mean, this Geek Bar is my baby. I then remembered reading something somewhere about getting water out of electronics. It was all about heat, but not too much heat.

- I ran to grab my girlfriend’s hairdryer.
- I set it to the highest heat setting but kept the fan speed low. I figured that would be a good balance.
- Then, I started gently heating up the Geek Bar, moving the hairdryer around so I didn’t scorch it or anything.
I kept at it for a solid twenty minutes. It got pretty hot to the touch, but I didn’t want to risk frying the circuits. After that, I set it aside and just let it cool down naturally. The waiting was the hardest part, man. I just wanted to hit it, but I knew I had to be patient.
Round Two
Once it was completely cool, I picked up that hairdryer again and gave it another twenty-minute blast. Same settings as before. High heat, low fan. By this point, I was feeling a little more hopeful. After the second heating session, I let it cool down one more time.
Finally, after what felt like forever, I picked up my Geek Bar, said a little prayer, and pressed the button. And guess what? It worked! I couldn’t believe it. I took a long, slow drag, and it was like nothing had ever happened. I was so relieved, I almost cried. Seriously, don’t underestimate the power of a good hairdryer and a little patience. It might just save your vape’s life!
Next time, I’m definitely keeping my Geek Bar far away from any water. Lesson learned. And if you ever drop yours in water, just remember this story. There’s hope!
