So, I was really pissed off. I bought a bunch of carts and just found they kept leaking out of the top. You know, when that happens, you can’t even get a good pull. It’s like the airflow is totally blocked. And if you try to force it after heating it up, you just end up with a mess.
At first, I thought, maybe it’s just bad luck, right? I mean, I dropped one of them, and I know that can mess things up. And sometimes, the weather changes, or the altitude can do weird stuff to these things. But then it kept happening, even with the ones I was super careful with. It didn’t seem to matter whether I got them from a dispensary or elsewhere, they all ended up leaking.

I started to get all scientific about it. I took apart one of the leaky carts to see what was going on inside. I noticed that the oil was way too thin in some, and in others, it was thick but still leaking. I figured the hardware must be the issue. If the cart was made of glass, maybe heating it up a bit would change the viscosity of the oil and help. I tried using a lighter on a couple, and yeah, it thinned out the oil, but the leaking didn’t stop. That’s when I really got into experimenting with the battery settings, thinking maybe I was using too much power or something.
- Low-tech solution: I tried just letting the cart sit upside down for a while, hoping gravity would do its thing. No luck.
- Heat it up: I used a hairdryer on a low setting to warm up the cart. It helped a little with the airflow, but the leaking? Still there.
- Check the battery: I messed around with the voltage settings on my battery, trying to find that sweet spot where it wouldn’t overheat the oil. It was hit or miss.
After all that, I realized a few things. One, it’s probably the cheap hardware they’re using for these carts. Two, even if you manage to get the airflow right, the leaking is a whole different beast. And three, it’s not just me. I talked to some buddies, and they’ve had the same issues. It’s annoying as hell, especially when you’re spending good money on these things.
So, what did I actually achieve? Well, not much in terms of stopping the leaks. But I did get better at spotting a clogged cart before it became a total disaster. You know, the restricted airflow, the burnt taste—those are dead giveaways. In the end, I just switched to a different brand that seemed a bit more reliable. It’s not perfect, but at least I’m not constantly dealing with a sticky mess. What a pain!
